Administrative Assistant

My husband Terry and I met in the singles class here at church in 1992 and married in 1993. I have 2 daughters but only one who lives in the DFW area: Trisha, her husband Dusty and 2 grandsons. We also have 3 dachshunds: Bonnie, Dixie and Molly. I grew up in the Church of Christ. My grandparents were charter members of Central Church of Christ in Amarillo, TX. My parents were always very active in church, we attended whenver the doors were open. My faith was shaped by being a single mother for several years. I learned to be dependent on God and the plans he had for me, not what I thought was best or decisions I thought were right. Because of listening to and leaning on God, I ended up placing membership at Richland Hills Church of Christ in 1989.

My favorite Bible verse is Romans 5:3-4, NLT, We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. I worked for my dad for 20 years as his Office Manager for his dental office. When he retired, we had two girls in college and I needed to keep working. A friend of mine worked here and told me I needed to apply. That was in 2002 and I have been in Outreach, now called Kingdom Expansion, ever since. My hope for the future of The Hills Church is that we don’t lose the feeling of closeness that you have in a small church.
