Digital Strategy Minister

When I was in high school, I went on a missions trip that changed my life. My mom signed me up to go, and I had a bad attitude – not interested in church activities. God rocked my world after showing me what grace looked like through the people on the trip, and I’m so grateful for God’s grace in my life since then.

My favorite verse is in a few places in the Bible, which says: ‘God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’ It really sums up the character of God and reminds me to continually search my heart for pride. It’s one of my favorites because it’s easy to remember and filter my daily actions through it.

My hope is to see The Hills Church as an ‘aircraft carrier’. Many people look at churches as cruise liners, where they go simply looking for comfort or personal pleasure. Others look at churches as battleships, where everything happens on the ship, with the pastors doing all the ministry at the church. An aircraft carrier exists to build, equip, and send people out. This is what the church is meant to be, creating disciples who develop equip and send out more disciples into our community.
