Kari Bankes

Administrative Assistant

I have been married more than 30 years to my wonderful husband, Calvin. We have three children and four granddaughters. There are many events that have shaped my faith, but nothing more so than dealing with infertility for 10 long years. Through this journey I had to rely on and trust that God knows what is best, even if I do not understand. Psalm 34:4-8 is one of my favorite passages. I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. I have always struggled with fear, and I find comfort knowing that God will deliver me from all my fears. My work with The Hills begin in 2012, when a friend mentioned the opportunity for an administrative position with the West Fort Worth campus minister. My hope for The Hills is that we can continue to grow followers of Christ locally and throughout the world.
