Joanna Broadnax

My husband, Eric, and I have been married more than 20 years and have two children we adore, Kylah and Alex. I grew up going to church with my parents and my sister at The Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ in Arlington, and at the age of 13, I proclaimed Jesus Christ as my savior and was baptized. I am so thankful for parents who loved the Lord, and for a church family that helped form my faith at a young age. I came to The Hills Church in 2005 and served in Kids Ministry as a volunteer for six years before joining the Kids Ministry staff in 2011. I love my place on the team because I work with great parents and kids, and I get to focus on eternal things every day. My life verse is James 1:17. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. I love this verse because it reminds me that all blessings come from our mighty God, and that my work in kids ministry is my offering to Him for all the good gifts I’ve received. My hope and prayer for The Hills is that this church continues to walk with families to grow followers of Jesus for generations to come.
