My wife Susan and I married in 1981. We have three children together: Amy (husband Peter), Aaron (wife Katie), and Andrew. We have a large, friendly, rust-blonde pooch named Maverick who is part Lab, part Greyhound, part mystery, and all slobbery affection. We also have two of the coolest grandsons in existence, Boston and Sawyer. Before I joined the team at The Hills part-time in 2000, I worked for Samsill Corporation in Fort Worth for 14 years, but I left because we moved to Collinsville and I did not want to drive to Fort Worth. During my part time stint my dad began having complications from Alzheimer’s and he moved in with my family until his death in 2003. Then in 2004, I was offered a full time position and have been driving to Fort Worth ever since! What a blessing to be able to work doing something I love for a church I believe in! One of my favorite scriptures is Jeremiah 29:11-13. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I love the hope offered in this verse because it is a great reminder that God has great blessings in store for us when we are seeking. My hope for The Hills is that it will always be a spiritual home where everyone who enters feels safe and loved, like one giant family.  That it is place where grace is embraced and that is always on a mission to bring Jesus to those who have not seen Him.
