The Hills Special Needs Ministry exists to provide kids, students, and adults with special needs, a safe, adaptable, loving environment, so that they can develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
Our trained staff and volunteers make sure that kids laugh and play in a safe, loved-filled environment.
The Weekend
If you know that you are planning a visit, we encourage you to contact the Special Needs Director of the campus you will be attending. We want to make sure your child has the best experience possible.
Bible Study
The Hills offers Adult Special Needs Bible Study Group at 10:45am on Sundays. We use an inclusive and adaptable bible study curriculum that allows all individuals to learn and grow.
Kids Classes
The Hills provides sensory-friendly classroom spaces designed for children with special needs. If your child is a good fit for our mainstream classes, then we have trained “buddies” available for extra support in the classroom. Kids Special Needs classes are at 10:45am.
Respite
Respite is an event dedicated to fun-filled games and crafts for kids with special needs and their siblings so mom and dad can take some time for themselves.
Who can attend?
Kids with special needs and their siblings aged 12 and under.
When is it?
Respite happens one Saturday a month during the school year.
Volunteer!
We would love for you to be involved, no matter your experience/comfort level – all you need is a love for kids and fun! We provide an orientation before each event and have a trained support staff to help each volunteer feel successful throughout the night.
