‍Conflict resolution

We guide you through tough conversations—whether in family, business, church, or everyday life. If you’re facing disagreement or conflict, we offer free and confidential support. We do this through "guided conversations," where we help you explore new options and take steps toward peace. If the other person isn’t ready to talk yet, we’ll coach you on how to move forward in a healthy way.  Not sure if this is the right step? Reach out for a short, confidential conversation. We’ll listen, answer your questions, and help you decide if this is a good fit for your situation.
If you aren't ready to schedule an appointment but have questions, please contact us at conflict.resolution@thehills.org or call 817.839.8528.

FAQ

Yes

Are services confidential?

Yes, our services are confidential.  Any information you share with us will be kept private and not disclosed to any third party without your explicit consent unless required by law to do so in specific situations like reporting potential harm to yourself or others.

Where are you located?

We have team members supporting all 4 campuses.

Yes, we offer both in-person and virtual appointments.

What kind of support do you offer?

We’re different from counseling. We help you define a clear, concrete goal and support you in moving toward it through respectful dialogue. That might mean a guided conversation, one-on-one coaching, or a practical class. This approach is rooted in Matthew 5's call to be peacemakers.

Who do you work with?

Individuals, couples, families, and organizations

What is a guided conversation?

A guided conversation is more structured than an everyday dialogue. It’s led by a credentialed team member who creates a respectful, collaborative space by setting clear ground rules and listening impartially. They help surface the real issues beneath the surface, manage strong emotions or power imbalances, and support more effective communication. As the conversation unfolds, they encourage mutual problem-solving and help confirm a path forward—when one is found.

I'm generally good at working through conflict. It's just this one relationship or topic that is proving more difficult. Why do you believe the conflict resolution team can help?

First, you may be legitimately good at handling disagreements or even conflict. But sometimes an experienced guide who's able to stay impartial and knows the terrain can be a real help. Like a hiking guide on a tricky trail, you’re still the one doing the walking—but the guide helps you navigate rough patches, avoid missteps, and move toward higher ground. In life, the roughest trails are those that have some built in tension, history, or high stakes. Romans 12:18 calls us to live at peace with everyone, as far as it depends on us. We're here to help.
